Lura Trask, 84, of Boothbay Harbor, died at her residence on Jan. 11.
She was born in Machias, Jan. 16, 1925, the daughter of Edgar and Grace Pettigrew Berry and attended Machias and So. Portland schools.
Lura was employed for 30 years for the Boothbay Region school system in the cafeteria of several different grades, serving lunches to many children over the years, retiring at age 80 due to her failing health.
Lura attended the Boothbay Harbor Methodist Church, was a member Crescent Chapter #54, Order of the Eastern Star, serving in many chairs, and Bridge club of the church. She was an avid reader, loved to play cards, especially solitaire. Attending events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was also one of her top priorities.
She is predeceased by her husband J. Gordon Trask; and sisters, Sadie Johnson, Cora Reynolds, Gladys Kinghorn, and Shirley Dow.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam A. Boucher and husband Steven W. Boucher of Brunswick; grandsons, John H. Boucher and wife Gail of West Bath, and Steven P. Boucher of Bath; great-grandchildren, Leanna, Chelsey, and Courtney; sister, Louise Farrington of Cape Elizabeth; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
