Margaret K. Lockwood, 90, of Newcastle, passed away at the Lincoln Home in Newcastle on the afternoon of July 27. Born on Sept. 10, 1918, she was the daughter of Stuart and Florence (Holmes) Ketcham.
Since moving to Maine in 1977, Margaret had volunteered at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta for over 20 years. She was an avid gardener and was active in her church, often helping with fundraising events.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Hoyt Lockwood, in 1996; as well as a brother, Frank Ketcham.
She is survived by her two children, Paul Lockwood and wife Debra of Londonderry, N.H., and Sally Fullilove of New Mexico; four grandchildren, Justin and Becky Lockwood of New Hampshire and Eric and Jason Fullilove of Maine; as well as one great-grandson, Ethan Fullilove of Maine.
At Mrs. Lockwood’s request, there will be no formal service. Celebration of her life will be held in the fall.
