Margaret “Margie” Harris, 97, of Edgecomb, passed away at Midcoast Hospital in Brunswick on the morning of May 15.
Margaret was formerly of New Jersey and Massachusetts.
She was well known for needlecrafts and embroidery, and for her love of elephants; she collected elephant items. She belonged to Knox-Lincoln Cooperative Extension for 30 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Harris; and sons, Douglas Newitt, and Thomas Newitt.
Margaret is survived by niece, Cheryl Murdock of Dunnellon, Fla.; as well as one nephew and three other nieces.
At Margaret’s request, there will not be any service.
