Marguerite J. Creamer, 87, of Camden and formerly of Union, died Aug. 8 at Quarry Hill in Camden. She was born June 9, 1922 in Rockland, a daughter of Edward and Harriett Rogers Jones. She grew up in Washington and graduated from Washington High School in the class of 1940. During high school she was very active in plays, and sports and was editor in chief of the high school yearbook.
She worked at GTE Sylvania in Waldoboro as a machine operator. She was also a cook at Glen Cove Christian School. She cooked for a family and last cooked at Elmer’s Restaurant in Union. She was a very active member of the Church of the Nazarene in Union. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and often made cakes for her family.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Glenda Wyman, and two brothers, Roger Counce and Norman Jones.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Creamer of South Hope and Kerwin Creamer of Waldoboro; sisters, Dorothy Ranta of South Thomaston, Grace Gertrude Jones of Union, Maybelle Roderigue of Augusta, and Marion Williams of Florida; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Tues., Aug. 11 at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro. Funeral 2 p.m., Wed., Aug. 12 at the Hall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Levensaler Cemetery in Washington.
