Marguerite “Maggie” F. Rice, 88, passed away Jan. 14 at Winship Green Nursing Center in Bath. Despite her health issues, she died with grace and dignity, never complaining.

She loved being a mother and grandmother. This was her calling. She also enjoyed sewing, camping, cooking, and taking care of her many beloved pets that she had over the years. Just being around Marguerite would make your day a little better. She put everyone first before her own needs. She truly was a gift to this world and everyone that knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wilder A. Rice; son, Gerald Rice; and brother, Edward Hutchins.
She is survived by sons, Paul Rice of Washington, Scott Rice of Waldoboro, and Dean Rice of Nobleboro; daughter-in-law, Pamela Rice of New Harbor; grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan, Cody, Alison, and John; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
