Marian P. Morris, 87, of Bremen, died on Aug. 13, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born and raised in New York and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1949. In 1950 she married her childhood sweetheart, John H. Morris.
Marian was attracted to visual arts and created many works as she raised two daughters on Long Island, N.Y. and cruised up and down the Atlantic coast aboard the 38-foot trimaran ketch she had helped to build.
In 1938, after her husband’s retirement from a career in advertising on Madison Ave., they moved to Bremen and there enjoyed 30 years on the shore of Greenland Cove, boating, fishing, and relishing in the cove’s beauty while participating in various community activities.
Marian is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Morris; daughters, Joan and Marian; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
