Marilyn J. (Fogg) Tedesco, 78, of Portland, wife of Theodore M. Tedesco, passed away peacefully Dec. 28, after a long illness, surrounded by family at her son’s Ipswich, Mass. home.
Born in Sharon, Mass., the daughter of Lester and Gertrude E. (Thompson) Fogg, she was a graduate of the Boston University School of Music and studied at the Longy School of Music and at the Tanglewood Music Center. She taught music and piano, both privately and with the New England Conservatory of Music Extension School and the Pingree School for over 40 years. An accomplished organist, Marilyn earned a CAGO certificate from the American Guild of Organists in 2006 and played for many local churches in a career spanning over four decades. She was also a successful realtor, having operated Marilyn McLoon Real Estate in Damariscotta and received the Maine State Realtor of the Year award.
In addition to her husband of 16 years, she is survived by her daughters, Lauren Moskowitz of Georgetown, Amy Juneau of Saco, and Wendy Waterman of Wallingford, Penn.; sons, David McLoon of Ipswich, Mass., and Christopher McLoon of Yarmouth, and ten grandchildren.
Memorial service 1 p.m., Sat., Jan. 9 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 143 State St., Portland.
