Marilyn Lee Teele, 55, of Boothbay, died Feb. 4 at her home. She was born March 16, 1955 in Augusta to Merrill and Dorothy Jackson.
Marilyn grew up in Waldoboro and graduated from Medomak Valley High School in the Class of 1973.
She enjoyed working in the hay fields with her father and brothers. Her early years were spent growing vegetables in the family garden. That gave Marilyn a lifelong love of gardening, whether it was vegetables, flowers or plants, Marilyn truly had a green thumb. She loved dressing up and was known for being a sharp dresser, especially by her loving husband, Burton. She worked at several convenience stores in the area.
She was predeceased by her parents; and brothers, Rodney John Jackson, Michael Allen Jackson, and Richard Todd Jackson.
She is survived by her husband, Burton W. Teele Jr. of Boothbay; sisters, Joyce Jackson and husband Donald Prior of Cushing, and Suzanne Hawkins of Summerfield, N.C.; brothers, Ronald Jackson and wife Donna of Washington, and James Jackson of Waldoboro; aunt, Barbara Jenness of Athens; sisters-in-law, Virginia Call of Florida, Peanut Harnish and husband Frank of Newcastle, Bridget Palino and husband Teddy of Florida, and Gladys Collamore of Bremen; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family is planning a private ceremony at a later date.
