Marilyn Monson, 51, of Waldoboro, died Aug. 15 at Miles Memorial Hospital, Damariscotta.
She was born Feb. 27, 1955 in Carbondale, Penn., a daughter of Richard and Rita A. (McCabe) Atkinson.
Marilyn was a graduate of Newburyport High School in Massachusetts, class of 1973, and later earned her L.P.N. license in Rockland. For many years she worked with Kno-Wal-Lin Homecare and Hospice.
In addition to her mother, Rita Atkinson of Newburyport, Mass., Marilyn is survived by a daughter, Amy L. Trahan and husband Bill Trahan, Jr. of Waldoboro; son, Matthew R. Monson of Waldoboro; and sister, Sharon Hoaglund and husband Gus of Newburyport, Mass.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her father.
Private services will be held at the convenience of her family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Coast of Maine Cremation & Funeral Service, Waldoboro.
