Marjorie Eleanor Baldwin Murphy, 88, of Lake Mills, Wis., passed away peacefully on Dec. 25, 2014 at Willowbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lake Mills with her family by her side.
She was born on Feb. 27, 1926 in Nobleboro, the daughter of the late Earl and Ruth (Hildebrandt) Baldwin. She was a graduate of Lincoln Academy in Newcastle.
Marjorie married Philip Murphy of Jefferson on June 25, 1949. He passed away Sept. 9, 2011. She was a Lake Mills resident since 2011, moving from Rice, Minn.
She had been a Cub Scout leader and involved with AmVets Organization. She enjoyed telling family stories, reading, horses, baking, and traveling with Phil in their motor home.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Earl Jr., Raymond, Lester, and Donald Baldwin.
Survivors include sons, Thomas (Joann) of Lake Mills, Timothy of Pulaski, Wis., Scott (Kathy) of Nekoosa, Wis., and Shaun (Sugie) of Gleason, Wis.; daughter, Jennifer (Greg) Brandl of Clatskanie, Ore.; grandchildren, Erin (Mark) Sebranek, Nick (Christy Klimek) Murphy, Mark (Dana DeRuyter) Murphy, Kimberly Lobner, Megan Lobner, Eric (Kelsie) Brandl, and Ryan Brandl; great-grandchildren, Madisyn Krzak, Oliver Sebranek, and Lily Sebranek; brothers, Paul (Linda) Baldwin, Douglas (Ann) Baldwin, and Robert (Marjorie) Baldwin, all of Nobleboro; sisters, Mildred Stafford of Arrowsic, Esther Swift, and Jean Beaulieu, both of Nobleboro, and Dorothy Giles of Edgecomb; sister-in-law, Norma Baldwin of Nobleboro; and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held from 12-3 p.m., Sat., Jan. 10 at the Lake Mills EMS Building, 603 E. Lake St., Lake Mills, Wis. Burial will be in Village Cemetery in Jefferson at a later date.
If desired, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Lincoln Academy in Newcastle.
