Marjorie Nathalie (Colwell) Martin, 94, of Waldoboro, died Easter morning, April 20, at Windward Gardens in Camden.
She was born Jan. 19, 1920 in Hancock, a daughter of the late Allison and Lydia (Shaw) Colwell. She graduated from Waldoboro High School, a member of the class of 1938.
On May 22, 1939, she married Louis L. Martin.
Mrs. Martin was a life member of Lakeview Chapter No. 179 Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Waldoboro Senior Citizens, Lady’s Shrine Club, and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Waldoboro.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband who died in 2004; sisters, Beatrice Cowley, Lucille Dimock, and Allison Willey; and brother, Warren Colwell.
Mrs. Martin is survived by daughters, Suzanne Young and husband Phillip of Cushing, Lynette Lawson and husband Buddy of Waldoboro, and Martha Hodgdon and husband Ken of Florida; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a graveside service to celebrate Mrs. Martin’s life at 11 a.m., Fri., June 13 in the German Protestant Cemetery, Bremen Road, Waldoboro.
