Marjorie W. Waning, 75, of Damariscotta, passed away on Aug. 9, following an 11-month battle with cancer.
She is survived by her domestic partner, Leroy Waning; children, Heidi Waning and Jack Kenefick of Waldoboro, Joyce Waning of Winthrop, Rory Waning of Waterville, and Debra Bootier and James of Indiana; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her wishes were to have her remains sent to the Anatomical University of New England for brain cancer research in hopes of helping others.
A memorial service announcement is forthcoming.
