Martha N. Troupe, 77, of Bremen, died Feb. 21 in Damariscotta. She was born in Sparks, Ga. on March 20, 1934 to Raymond and Fannie (Wright) Bristol. Her family was very important to her. She enjoyed trying her luck at casino gambling, loved cooking and was a biscuit cook at Hardee’s, winning a national award for being one of the best cooks in their competition.
Martha was predeceased by her husband, Ernest C. Troup; brothers, James Dewitt, and R.B. Lanis.
Survivors include her children, Terri Freese and husband George of Bremen, and Tim Cottrell of Mississippi; two grandchildren; and siblings, Larry Bristol, Ronnie Bristol, Marjorie Roberts, Maureen Roberts, Faye Carter and Libby Sumner, all of Georgia.
Services will be held at a later date in Florida.
