Martin (Monty) Taplin, 46, of Pemaquid, died unexpectedly at his home on July 31. He was born Dec. 15, 1963 in Portland, son of Theodore N. and Mary (Harris) Taplin. An avid fisherman and lobster tender, Monty grew up in Pemaquid and attended local schools.
Monty was predeceased by his parents and brother Frank Taplin.
He is survived by his brother Ronald Taplin of Newburgh; sister-in-law, Joyce Taplin of Pemaquid; and very close friends and extended family.
At Monty’s request, there will be no services. Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
