Mrs. Lewis grew up in Damariscotta and attended Lincoln Academy. As a young girl she waited on tables at the Riverview Restaurant in Damariscotta, and worked for several years at the Lincoln County Hardware Store. She also enjoyed working summers at the Coveside Inn in Christmas Cove.
