Mary Alice (Moody) Haskell, 78, of Coopers Mills, passed away with her family by her side on Aug. 31 at Country Manor Nursing Home after a short illness.
She was born in Jefferson on Aug. 2, 1931 to Madeline (Flagg) and Ashby Moody.
Mary was a graduate of Erskine Academy and was employed with New England Telephone after graduation.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, Willow Grange and First Baptist Church of Jefferson.
Mary was predeceased by her parents in 1989; and her son-in-law, Stephen Lincoln in 1995.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Lee and husband John of Jefferson, Vernon “Skip” Haskell and wife Patricia of Wallingford, Conn., Laurie Bean and husband Brad of South Portland, and Cindy Lincoln and companion Jim Thornhill of Augusta; grandchildren, Kristina and Aaron Thompson, Samantha Lee, Shanna Lee, Heidi Lincoln, Stephen Lincoln III, and Matthew, Ashley and Katherine Haskell; great-grandchildren, Gaige and Madeline Thompson and Braydon Lincoln; brothers, Atwood Moody and wife Peggy of Mesquite, Tex., Herbert Moody and wife Teresa of Jefferson, and James Moody and wife Vicky of Jefferson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Celebration of Mary’s life 2 p.m., Sat., Sept. 19 at the First Baptist Church in Jefferson. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Lisa Lee’s home in Jefferson.
