Mary Ellen Crowley, 62, of Damariscotta, formerly of Marshfield, Mass., died on Jan. 21 at the home of her sister, surrounded by family and friends after a long illness.
She was a daughter of the late James and Joan Barrett Crowley of Marshfield, Mass.
She leaves behind sister, Patricia Crowley; nephew, Michael Crowley, both of Marshfield, Mass.; brother, Jay Crowley of Plymouth, Mass.; uncle, Russ of Warsaw, N.Y.; several cousins; and a wide cadre of friends from New England and beyond.
She will be missed for her brilliant, unique mind and joie de vivre, as well as her perpetual curiosity and willingness to take risks, which enlivened and emboldened her existence and brought her much joy.
A private memorial celebration of Mary Ellen’s life is being planned for a future date.
