Mary Lee Harrold McDonough, 68, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Boothbay Harbor, died April 2 in Las Vegas after a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 11, 1941 in Boothbay Harbor, the daughter of Albert and Florence Dodge Harrold, graduated from Boothbay Region High School in 1959, and form Thayer School of Medical Technology in 1962. She worked for two years at the old Bath Memorial Hospital, then spent the next 18 years working with her husband in the electrical business. Returning to college, she earned a degree in business and went to work for the Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair, USN in Bath/Brunswick.
For 10 years she was involved in the Life Cycle Maintenance for the USS Arleigh Burke, an Oliver Hazard Perry class of ship, and in 1986 she was loaned to a Tiger team from Naples, Italy for a three-month job in Tulon, France. While there, she made a side trip through the French Alps before returning home. She retired in 2003, and moved to Nevada in 2005.
Both her first husband, Robert D. Green, and her second husband, Stanley McDonough, predeceased her.
Surviving are her two sons, William H. Green of Loganville, Ga. and Robert Green of Edgecomb; grandson, Robert Green III of Bath; granddaughter, Dakota Lynn Green of Washington; and sister, Eleanor Brown of Niantic, Conn.
There were no funeral services. Following cremation, at her request, her ashes were to be scattered off Ocean Point.
