Maurice D. Collamore, 83, of Waldoboro, passed away May 28 at Pen Bay Medical Center.
He was the son of Alden and Ines Carter Collamore. On Oct. 25, 1942 he married Virginia Sykes. Maurice served his county in WWII and after returning home began a career in lobstering. After his days as a fisherman were through, he began driving a tractor-trailer truck. With his wife by his side the two traveled all over the country. After he retired, he began work at Hannaford in Damariscotta until the time of his illness.
He was predeceased by brothers, Waldo, Maynard, Burton and Jamie Collamore and sister, Mildred Eaton.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia of Waldoboro; daughter, Judy Collamore Carter of New York; and sister, Anetta Morton of Boothbay.
At the family’s request there will be no services.
Arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 949 Main St., Waldoboro.
