Maxine Ruth Warren, 79, passed away Aug. 14 at the Boothbay Green in Boothbay.
Maxine was born May 27, 1932 in Brighton Plantation, a daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn Folsom Ronco. She attended Dexter High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1950.
After high school she worked as a secretary in a medical office.
On May 31, 1932 she married Kenneth Warren. She worked for several shoe factories in northern Maine while raising her family.
In later years she worked at Bonny Eagle High School in the cafeteria. She loved being close to the children and took pride in that no child went hungry.
She was a gifted crafter who excelled in any needlework. She was actively involved with various craft shows in the Boothbay area.
She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Warren; brother, Herbert Ronco; and grandson, Joel Batiste.
Survivors include her daughters, Evie Norton of Southport and Sandra Harmon of Portland; son, Michael Warren and wife Joyce of Orono; grandchildren, Jason and Logan Warren of Portland and Landon Norton of Biddeford; brother, Kenneth Ronco of Lewiston; and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Visiting hour 1-2 p.m. followed by a 2 p.m. service, Thurs., Aug. 18 at Simmons, Harrington & Hall Funeral Home, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay.
