Maynard Alden Morton, 70, of Westport Island, died Jan. 6 peacefully at his home.
Butch was born June 2, 1943 in Boothbay Harbor, the son of Milan and Annetta Morton of Boothbay Harbor.
Butch is survived by his wife of 33 years, Asenath Morton of Westport Island; brothers, Milan and wife Nancy Morton of Wiscasset, and David and wife Kerina of Trevett; sisters, Helen MacKenzie of Alna, Isabelle and husband Teddy Howe of Lewiston, Ruth and husband Charles Balsdon of Boothbay Harbor, and Nancy and husband James Leavitt of Boothbay Harbor; sons, Edwin Morton and companion Judy Malone of Gardiner, David and wife Becky Morton Sr. of Whitefield, and Jay R. Morton and companion Janet Morse of Harrington; stepdaughters, Patricia and husband Perry Sproul of Wiscasset, and Rebecca Seigars and companion Marvin McKeown of Dewey, Ariz.; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
At the request of Butch there will be no funeral service.
