Mildred E. Pinkham, 99, of Dresden, passed away on Nov. 26 at a Brunswick hospital.
She was born in West Boothbay on Aug. 29, 1908, the daughter of William and Lillian (Swett) Hodgdon.
She worked for Etonic Shoe of Richmond for many years. She was a member of the Dresden Richmond United Methodist Church, the Rebekahs of Richmond, the Richmond American Legion Auxiliary and the Dresden Historical Society. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, crafts and reading.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward C. Pinkham; sons, Edward Pinkham, Jr. and Clayton Pinkham; sisters, Florence Davis, Theresa Emerald and Julia Gray; and grandson, Terry Pinkham.
She is survived by daughter, Verona Lewis and husband Melvin of Dresden; grandchildren, Deborah McAllister and husband Jeff of West Bath, Peter Lewis and wife Sue of Dresden, Ernest Pinkham of Litchfield, and Stephen Pinkham of South Carolina; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
At the request of the family, all services will be private.
