Milford C. Ellis Sr., 78, of Waldoboro, died Nov. 4 at his home. He was born July 9, 1934 in St. George to Francis Ellis and Catherine Teele Ellis. He grew up in Port Clyde and attended local schools. He lived in Medomak and lastly in Waldoboro. He worked for Port Clyde Canning Company in Rockland for 26 years. He also worked for Dick Storer.
He loved to go clamming, spending time with his grandchildren and always had a good story to tell.
He is predeceased by his parents; brothers, Wesley, Francis and Ira; sisters, Annie and Georgia; and son, Frannie.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Ruby Hodgkins Ellis of Waldoboro; daughters, Rachel Harvey of Waldoboro and Karen Wallace of Waldoboro; sons, Ernest Wheaton of Auburn, Milford Ellis Jr. of Waldoboro, and Ricky Ellis of Waldoboro; brother, Burton Teele Jr.; sisters, Bridget Palino, Virginia Call, Peanut Harnish, and Gladys Collamore; and several grandchildren.
