Moira (MacGowan) Carrier, 86, of Damariscotta, formerly of No. Reading, Mass., died on the evening of Feb. 24 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. Born on May 23, 1926 in Lowell, Mass., she was the daughter of the late James and Janet MacGowan.
Moira received her nursing degree from Lowell General Hospital and was an active member of St. Anne’s Church in Lowell, Mass.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Carrier; and brother, James MacGowan Jr.
The loving mother of Deborah Dunham and Lynette Carrier, she is also survived by her grandchildren, Carlen Dunham and Erin Dunham; as well as many nieces and nephews.
As per Moira’s wishes, the funeral will be private.
