Nancy Bernice Wallace, 73, of Friendship, died May 7 at her home. She was born Nov. 16, 1937 in Rockland to Sterling Proctor and Bessie Stover Proctor. She grew up in the Mid-Coast area and attended local schools.
She worked at G.T.E. Sylvania, Fieldcrest Manor and Dennison’s Boarding Home in Waldoboro. She loved to travel to Atlantic City to gamble. She enjoyed gardening, playing Yahtzee and even shot two moose in her late 60s. She was very helpful and was always there for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her son, Leroy Wallace Jr.
She is survived by her husband, James Harlan Wallace of Friendship; daughters, Kim Carter and husband Preston of Friendship and Debbie Simmons of Rockland; grandchildren, Amander Wotton of Windham, Amber Wotton of Rockland, Brittany Wotton of Friendship; special grandson, Donny Carter of Friendship; and many step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren for whom she cared deeply.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Village Cemetery in Friendship.
