Nancy E. Farrin, 86, of South Bristol, died the morning of Feb. 22 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.
Mrs. Farrin was born July 14, 1926 in Bristol, a daughter of the late Sanford and Roxie (Holden) Weeks. She was a graduate of Bristol High School, salutatorian of the class of 1944. On Dec. 25, 1952 she married Albert D. Farrin.
Over the years Mrs. Farrin worked in area stores and was a member of the Degree of Pocahontas, the Women’s Auxiliary for the Improved Order of Red Men in South Bristol.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of more than 21 years, who died in 1973; brother, George Weeks; and sisters, Elizabeth Hanna and Ruth Weeks.
Mrs. Farrin is survived by her children, Scott A. Farrin of South Bristol, Richard Farrin of South Bristol, Kimberly Ann Farrin of South Bristol, and Albert Farrin and wife Nancy of Damariscotta; grandchildren, Codi, Brianna and Courtney Farrin, all of Damariscotta; a sister-in-law, Mona Taylor of Portland; and several nieces and newhews.
A private graveside service will be held in the spring, Rev. Rick Newell will officiate. Interment will be in the West Bristol Cemetery.
