Nancy L. Packard, 75, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully on Oct. 8.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1943 in Damariscotta to Herbert Lewis and Madelyn Walter Lewis.
She married Joseph Packard on June 27, 1959 and they made their home in Union where they raised their family. Nancy worked at Osram Sylvania for over 40 years.
Nancy excelled at tole painting, enjoyed reading and cooking. Her children and grandchildren were very important to her. She had a great sense of humor. She really enjoyed being a homemaker. In the summer she put up vegetables for the winter from her gardens. She was an animal lover, cats were her favorite. Her favorite sayings were: “This too shall pass.” And “Where there is life, there is hope!”
She is predeceased by her parents; and daughter, Kathy Packard-Hastings.
Nancy is survived by husband, Joseph E. Packard of Waldoboro; son, Nathan Packard and companion Jan Costigan of Waldoboro; daughter, Marie Chadwick and husband Wayne of Sebec; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two new great-grandchildren to come; brother, Ricky Lewis and wife Diana of Bridgton; nephew, Kevin Lewis and wife Becky of Waterford; sisters-in-law, Priscilla Packard of Washington, and Natalie Boudreau of Florida; brother-in-law, Jimmy Packard and wife Bonnie of Union; son-in-law, Paul Hastings of Waldoboro; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
At Nancy’s request there will be no services.
