Nancy L. Pranes, 72, of Waldoboro, passed away on April 10 at her home. She was born on Nov. 21, 1945 in Skowhegan to Leroy Meservey and Caroline (Brown) Meservey.
Nancy grew up in the Gardiner area and attended local schools. She worked as a Direct Support Professional in the heath care field, working in group homes and working with disabled patients until she retired.
Nancy enjoyed sewing, spending time with her grandchildren, flower gardens, cooking and especially loved bingo. She was a charismatic, unpredictable and loving lady.
Nancy is predeceased by husband, James E. Pranes.
She is survived by sons, James H. Pranes of Waldoboro, Ricky Bowden of Dudley, Mass., and Lloyd Bowden of Augusta; daughters, Lisa Day of Florida, Caroline Cram of Manchester, and Christine Bowden of Winthrop, Jacqueline Bowden of Manchester; sisters, Sheila Solomon of New Hampshire, and Donna Barrett of Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
The family will honor her life privately at a later date.
