Nettie Marlene Egger Whitten died March 24 in Tupelo, Miss. Born on Feb. 26, 1923 to Ernest and Minnie Egger, she was a graduate of Amory High School.
In 1943 she married aviator Glenn T. Whitten of Washburn, who preceded her in death.
She was also predeceased by a sister, Nell Vaughn; and brothers, Elbert, Pete (Noak), Houston, and Charles, all of Amory, Miss.
She is survived by daughters, Glenda Whitten of Phoenix, Ariz., and Patti Whitten of Damariscotta; two grandsons and their wives; sister, Ernestine Droke of Amory, Miss.; and brother, Robert Egger of Memphis, Tenn.
Graveside service will be held in Damariscotta this summer.
Arrangements are under the care of Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, Miss.
