Nicholas “Nick” Alan Collamore, 24, of Waldoboro, passed away Jan. 25 at his home in Waldoboro.
Nick was born April 30, 1982 in Rockport, a son of Galen (Sr.) and Mary Morton Collamore.
He grew up in Waldoboro, attended local schools, and was a graduate of Medomak Valley, class of 2000.
Two days after completing high school, Nick joined the U.S. Army and served four years before returning to his home in Friendship.
Once returning to Friendship, he was employed by Rex Benner as a stern man. He loved being on the water, where he enjoyed fishing and ice fishing, and he enjoyed hunting with his good friend and brother in law, Mark. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed teasing his nieces and nephews.
Nick and his companion, Michelle, enjoyed spending time at Reid State Park, and going on excursions while they were there.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his father, Galen Collamore, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Hillary Collamore of Maryland; son, Caleb Ryan Collamore of Maryland; mother, Mary Collamore Smale and husband Kenneth of Friendship; companion, Michelle Etheridge of Waldoboro; brother, Galen Collamore, Jr. of Friendship; sisters, Dianne Poland and husband Alan of Cushing, and Stephanie Ross and husband Mark Jr. of Friendship; nieces and nephews, Nicole, Cody and Ben Poland of Cushing; Megan Collamore of Friendship; and Evan, Millay and Kaileigh Ross of Friendship; special friends, Ruth and Brian Etheridge of Round Pond; aunt, Roxanne Ehringer and husband Edward of Florida; and uncle, Elwood Collamore and wife Lorraine of Florida.
Time of visitation 6-8 p.m., Mon., Jan. 29 at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro.
Celebration of Nick’s life 11 a.m., Tues., Jan. 30 at Hall Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Rawley officiating.
