Norene B. (Bond) Benton, 93, wife of the late Earle E. Benton Jr., of Birchrunville, Penn., died the morning of Dec. 1 at her home. Born in Perth Amboy, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Harlan A. and Estella M. (Main) Bond. She was a 1939 graduate of the Niagara Falls High School and graduated from Bucknell College in 1943. In addition to raising six children, Norene was a nursery school teacher in Wayne, Penn. when her children were in school full-time.
Mrs. Benton was predeceased by one brother, Victor A. Bond.
Mrs. Benton is survived by children, Jeffrey S., husband of Rosalind R. (Reeves) Benton of Drexel Hill, Penn., Susan B., wife of Frank J. Cimino of Ravenna, Ohio, Peter C., husband of Helena G. (Gosling) Benton of Birchrunville, Penn., Michael K., husband of Pamela N. (Nicholson) Benton of Malvern, Penn., Laurie A. Benton of Copake, N.Y., and Lisa M. Benton, wife of Ruben Bernal of San Diego, Cal.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 11 a.m., Thurs., Dec. 4 at the Rose Hall of Camphill Village Kimberton Hills, 1601 Pughtown Rd., Kimberton, Penn. Burial will be held privately in the Bond Family Burying Ground, Jefferson.
