Norman E. Langdon, 85, of Newcastle, passed away July 29 from pancreatic cancer.
He was the son of Francis Eustis and Eva of Connecticut; brother to Haven and Hazel.
He attended Choate Rosemary Hall and Brown University before pursuing a career as a real estate developer in New Hampshire, Maine, and New Brunswick. He settled down late in life, was a Cub Scout leader in Lincoln County, and was employed at Damariscotta Hardware for many years.
He was a quiet man – a reader, a dreamer, and a patriot who put the flag out each morning and harbored a passion for the coast of Maine. His ashes were scattered by his son and daughter.
He was predeceased by his spouse, Mo; and first wife, Catherine.
Norman is survived by daughter, Holly; son, Ranger; many nieces and nephews; and a handful of close friends and acquaintances.
