Olive J. Saunders, 80, of Warren, died March 10 at the Knox Center for Long Term Care in Rockland. She was born July 30, 1928 in Warren, a daughter of Clifford and Eva Post Robinson. She attended local schools in Warren and lived in Warren for the rest of her life. She was a homemaker. She loved taking care of her grandchildren.
She loved to read, gardening, crocheting, braiding rugs, knitting mittens, hats and vests for her family, making afghans and especially cooking. She always had animals. She enjoyed life and spending time with her family. She was a member of the White Oak Grange and the Rebekah’s. She had many friends in Lincoln County.
She was predeceased her husband, Clyde Saunders; son, Miles Saunders; a sister; and three brothers.
She is survived by a son, Vaughn Saunders and companion Jennifer Davis of Warren; daughters, Iris Rodgers and husband Tony of Warren, Rilda Lee and husband Richard of Warren, and Ellen Saunders and companion Steve of Rockland; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Graveside service 1 p.m., Fri., March 13 at the Sunnyview Post Cemetery, Rt. 235, Warren. Rev. Robin Honaker will officiate.
