Patricia Ann Barton, 48, of Whitefield, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on June 13 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Patty was born on April 17, 1965 to J. Harlan and Irene E. Wallace. She graduated from Medomak Valley School and St. Joseph’s College.
She married James Barton in 1990 and they have three children, Jesse James Barton, Megan Elizabeth Barton, and Kayla Marie Barton, all of Whitefield. Patty was a devoted wife and mother. She has three dogs, Shelby, Raven and Grizzly she adoringly called her “babies.” She enjoyed camping trips with Jim, gardening, her jobs and taking care of her home.
Patty was always busy going from one job to the other, following kids’ sports events or taking them wherever they needed to be when they were younger. Patty recently took the girls on a trip to New Hampshire for the weekend and was so pleased to have that special time with them. She was very proud that her son, Jesse, had decided to join his dad and work at Bath Iron Works. Patty managed the books for Country Corners Grocery and worked during tax seasons for Laurie Lawrence. She was known and loved by many in the community and surrounding towns.
She was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents; parents; sister, Jane Wallace; and father-in-law, Doug Barton.
Patty is survived by her husband; children; brothers, Harlan Wallace and wife Kathy, Larry Wallace and wife Jane, all of Friendship; sister, Virginia Blouin and husband David of South Portland; mother-in-law, Laurie Barton of Randolph; sisters-in-laws, Sue Jones and husband Jeff of Manchester, April Secord and husband Paul of Bangor; brother-in-law, Doug Barton and wife Suellen of Pittston; uncle, Douglas Wallace of Waldoboro; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
