Patricia A. Reed, 42, of Friendship, passed away May 27 at her home. She was born on June 9, 1968 in Skowhegan, the daughter of Henry and Arlene Brewer Reed. She grew up in Union and attended local schools. After school she started her family, raising two children.
She worked at Tibbets Industry in Camden and then found a career with Dunkin’ Donuts, rising up the ranks to Shift Leader. She was employed at various shops throughout the Mid-coast region. She was a hard worker and was loved and respected by all she worked with.
She was a people person and someone that everyone could relate to easily. She was always quick to give advice or her opinion and would not hold anything back. She was very independent and smart with her money. She enjoyed reading and playing on her computer. The world is full of those that take and those that give, she was a giver. She would do anything for anyone, all you had to do was ask, her door was always open. She loved animals and always had multiple four-legged friends running around her house, none more important than her Pomeranian and best friend of 15 years Christian. It was this love that led her to volunteer work at the Knox County Animal Shelter. The one thing she enjoyed the most was walking down to the harbor with her dog and just being near the water.
She is survived by her children, Tamara Holland of Rockland and Tyler Wadford of Cushing; parents, Henry and Arlene Reed of Union; brother, Scott Reed and wife Karen of Appleton; fraternal grandmother, Ruth Reed of Springfield, Va.; aunt, Rita Balkham of Springfield, Va.; and nephews, Joshua Luce and Dylan Reed, both of Appleton.
