Patricia Ann Ribeiro, 62, of Whitefield, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Oct. 31. She was born in Concord, Mass. on Oct. 16, 1946, a daughter of Edward and Anna Ammendolia D’Italia. She was the loving wife of Carl, and a wonderful mother to Paula and John.
Patricia and Carl were the best of friends. She loved life, people, and was an open and caring person. Her family was most important to her. She was an avid knitter, and Carl and Patricia really enjoyed finding antique treasures together at shops here in Maine and all over the country.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Carl J. Ribeiro of Whitefield; two children, Paula J. Ribeiro and partner Ian Spry of Austin, Tex., and John E. Ribeiro and his fiancée Masako Matsumura of London, England; mother, Anna; two sisters, Grace D’Italia of Hudson, Mass., and Jeanne Shaw and husband Michael of Whitefield; two aunts, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m., Thurs., Nov. 6 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Whitefield. Burial will be in the family cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society Waterville Area, 100 Webb Rd., Waterville, ME 04901; Susan G. Komen for the Cure; or a women’s charity of your choosing.
