Patricia L. (Arthur) Myers, of Leominster, Mass., formerly of Tavares, Fla., died peacefully on Jan. 26 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, Mass.
Born in Detroit, Mich. on July 21, 1935, she was the daughter of George and Mary (Gobrish) Arthur.
She graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit in 1954.
In her younger years, she was employed as an accountant at Dick White Buick in Marlboro, Mass. She and her husband retired in 1991 to Tavares, Fla. where they enjoyed fishing and traveling in their motor home. She served as treasurer of the Fox Run Boat Club, worked in the office, and enjoyed calling Bingo.
She was also a member of the Tavares Boat Club. She volunteered at the Florida Waterman Hospital as a “Pink Lady.” Together with her husband, the late Ivan Myers, she summered for many years at their Bristol home on Biscay Pond.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Ivan Max Myers, who died in 2002.
She leaves behind her children, David Arthur and wife Marina of Detroit, Mich., Lynda Myers LaHaye and husband Chuck of Gardner, Mass., Mardella Myers Lazazzero and husband Dick of Leominster, Mass.; and grandchildren, Adam Arthur, William and Daniel LaHaye, Amanda Hagerty and husband Matthew, and Ashley Lazazzero.
Private church service Mon., Jan. 30 at St. Patrick’s Church in Newcastle with burial immediately following at the Hillside Cemetery in Damariscotta.
