Patrick M. “Mike” Carter, 48, of Wiscasset, died Aug. 2 at Mid Coast Senior Health Care Center in Brunswick.
He was born in Camden on March 17, 1959, a son of Woodrow W. and Judith A. Wiggin Carter.
He was educated in the Camden schools, after which he served in the U. S. Army. He was very handy with his hands and worked as a mechanic and in construction and maintenance prior to his ill health a year ago.
He enjoyed taking care of his houseplants and staying busy with projects.
He was predeceased by his father.
Surviving are his mother, Judith A. Weston of Camden; son, Braxton Carter and daughter, Tiffiney Carter, both of Rockland; brother, Mark W. Carter of Rockland; sister, Thelma Lee Dionne of Portland; aunt, Dorothea Turgeon; uncle, Donavan Dyer; nieces, Robin L. Dionne and Patricia M. Dionne; and nephews, Daniel Carter and John Carter.
Graveside service 11 a.m., Sat., Aug. 18 at Peterboro Cemetery on Sandy Shores Road in Warren.
