Paul Alson Erskine, 69, of Wiscasset, died Sept. 30 at Winship Green Nursing Center in Bath.
He was born in Damariscotta on Dec. 20, 1942, a son of Alson and Helen (Cowley) Erskine.
He graduated from Wiscasset High School and attended Maine Maritime Academy. He entered and served in the U.S. Army and graduated from SMVTI. He was employed as a machinist for Mechanical Applications in Wiscasset which he later purchased in 1984. On March 31, 1984 he married Carolyn Bailey. He enjoyed genealogy.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Erskine of Wiscasset; stepsons, Jim Bailey of Oakland, Cal. and Bill Bailey of Klamath Falls, Ore.; brother, Richard Erskine of Waterville; sister, Rebecca Townsend and husband Robert of Edgecomb; three step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Fri., Oct. 5 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath. Funeral service 10 a.m., Sat., Oct. 6 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Alna Cemetery in Alna.
