Paul E. Dedrick, 77, of Newcastle, known to some as Mr. Paul or Bumpah, passed away at his home on the morning of Oct. 6. Paul was a proud veteran who always went out of his way to talk to those who served, and are currently serving.
Paul loved to cook and bake with his wife Nancy for those who were closest to them… or anybody for that matter, they enjoyed it that much. They were known to meet strangers and end up baking for them, making new friends in the process. Their kitchen became known as the P & N Diner.
He leaves behind a wife of 53 years, Nancy (Dinsmore) Dedrick; sons, Daniel Dedrick, U.S. Army veteran currently residing in Arizona, and Dennis Dedrick, U.S. Air Force Retired currently residing in Virginia; granddaughters, whom he loved more than anything, Brea and Joleena Dedrick who will miss their Bumpah, also residing in Virginia; brother, Butch Brandow of Athens, N.Y.; niece and nephew, Jennifer Swan currently residing in Massachusetts, and Robert Dinsmore II residing in Florida.
Arrangements are currently being made.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to your local animal shelter in Paul’s name.
