Paul E. Moore, 62, of Woolwich, passed away early on the morning of May 5 at Cove’s Edge, Damariscotta, after a lengthy illness.
The son of John and Mary (Campbell) Moore, he was born in Bangor, Jan. 22, 1946. Relocating to the Saco region, Paul graduated from Thornton Academy and went on to earn his degree in accounting, in Worcester, Mass. He served his country honorably during the Vietnam War, receiving two Purple Hearts, and following his discharge, practiced his profession for many years, in Massachusetts and Maine. He and his wife came to Woolwich from Saco nine years ago. Paul found serenity and comfort in his passion for woodworking throughout his life.
He leaves his loving wife, Judith (Weaver) Moore, of Woolwich.
A private service and disposition will take place.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Strong Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 612 Main St., Damariscotta.
