Pauline Judith Hale, 91, of Boothbay Harbor, a resident of the Gregory Wing, Emery Lane and formerly of Rutland, Mass., passed away June 17 at her residence after long period of failing health.
Pauline was born Nov. 3, 1919 in Worcester, Mass., the daughter of Andrew J. and Clara Boynton Carlson, and attended Commerce High School in Worcester.
A stay at home mom, she provided a loving home for her children as they grew. After her family left home, she took on part time jobs to fill the void and to keep herself busy.
Pauline was a member of the Congregational Church in Rutland, Mass., and attended the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor. She loved to pick blueberries and tend to her gardens and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cross stitching.
She is predeceased by her husband, Rollins L. Hale in 1992 and son, Rollins L. Jr. in 1974
She is survived by her sons, Rollins A. Hale and wife Cynthia of Boothbay Harbor and Bruce A. Hale and wife Elaine of Clinton, Mass.; grandchildren, Jennifer Orchard and husband Eric of East Boothbay, Heather Witwicki and husband Judd (Chip) of Brunswick, Rebecca Abbott and husband Derek of Boothbay, Jessica Hale of Portland, Lissa Keane and husband Greg of Nahant, Mass., Bruce Hale and wife Carrie of Leominster, Mass. and Brian Hale and wife Erica of Columbia, Md.; niece, Sue Erickson and husband John of Sterling, Mass.; nephew, Robert Stone and wife Karen of Brooklyn, Conn.; and many great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Pauline’s life 2 p.m., Sun., June 26 at the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor, Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor with Rev. Dr. Sarah Foulger officiating.
