Pauline Lucille Libby Ralph, 81, of Camden, died June 3 at Knox Center For Long Term Care in Rockland.
Born in Camden on Feb. 5, 1926, she was the daughter of Frederick William Libby and Bernice Estelle Kitching Libby. She was a 1944 graduate of Camden High School.
Pauline lived in Washington state and Florida before returning to Maine where she worked at GTE Sylvania in Waldoboro, Maine Egg Farms, the Samoset Resort, the Knox Woolen Company, and Cedar Crest Restaurant. At each of these jobs she made many wonderful friends that she cherished and continued to keep in touch with by letters and visits. She looked forward to the monthly lunches with the group of ladies known as, “Class of 1944 & Friends.”
Her family said she loved animals.
She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Evelyn M. Libby King; brother-in-law, Lewis J. King; aunt, Margaret Wright; and partner, Louis Center.
She is survived by a niece, Linda J. Holbrook and husband Stanley of Hope; great-nieces, Jennifer J. Smith and family of Hope, and Rebecca E. Bryant of West Bath; several cousins, Robert Wright, Jr., Dennis and Sandra Wright, Ronald and Dorothy Wright, all of Hope, and Terry and Claire Mitchell of Appleton.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
