Philip Austin Miller, 66, passed away June 9 at his home in Warren.
He was born in Waldoboro on Oct. 31, 1941, the son of Austin (Jr.) and Mary Black Miller.
Growing up in Waldoboro, Philip attended Waldoboro schools, later moving to the Gardiner area where he started a chicken farm, raising hens. He then moved to Warren and drove trucks for several area trucking companies.
He attended the Pentecostal Church on Buttermilk Lane, occasionally.
He was a hard-working man. He enjoyed motorcycles, gardening, landscaping and he helped build his own home in Warren with Harlow Mank. He loved going to and sitting on the beach.
He was predeceased by his father, Austin Miller, Jr. in 2002, and his mother, Mary Miller in 1984.
Survivors include his sons, Philip Willoughby of Warren, Steven A. Miller of Waldoboro, and Scott Miller of Damariscotta; daughters, Stacie Elliott of Gardiner, and Sara Miller of Rockland; sisters, Patricia Collelo of Moosup, Conn., Joanne Ames of Waldoboro, Lorna Lash of Friendship, and Diana Lewis of Waldoboro; grandchildren, Robbie Elliott, III of Gardiner, and Cody Dinsmore of Waldoboro; nieces, Tammy Pollack of Moosup, Conn., and Mary-Jo Lewis of Waldoboro; nephews, Joshua Lash of Friendship, and Joseph Lewis of Waldoboro; and grand-niece, Haley Pollack of Moosup, Conn.
There will be a private graveside service in Shuman Cemetery.
