Priscilla A. Stevens, 85, of Topsham, formerly of Boothbay, passed away peacefully on July 26 surrounded by her loving family, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
Priscilla was the daughter of Emerson Reed and Frances (Woodward) Reed, and a graduate of Boothbay Harbor High School, Class of 1951. She was very proud of her high school athletic accomplishments in softball and basketball, including three high school championships in softball. She continued as an adult being a member of bowling and softball leagues. She was an avid Red Sox fan, loved reading, crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her family.
For 26 and a half years, Priscilla was a faithful employee at Harold W. Bishop Insurance Agency as their bookkeeper, and prior to that, she devoted 16 years as an employee of St. Andrews Hospital.
Priscilla married Charles Stevens Sr. on Aug. 1, 1953, and together they raised seven children. She was very proud of her family.
She was predeceased by her son, Randy; husband, Charles; and her eight siblings.
Surviving Priscilla are her children: sons, Gary and wife Gail of Phippsburg, and Charles Jr. “Chuck” and wife Chris of Boothbay; daughters, Kathy Stevens of Falmouth, Donna Brunette and husband David of Brunswick, Heidi Stevens and companion Donald Pelletier of Wiscasset, and Laurie Stevens of Topsham; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and family members.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Priscilla will be held at 1 p.m., Thurs., Aug. 2 at Hall’s Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay.
