Quenten Lewis Smith, 78, of Cedar Hill, Tenn., died Dec. 31, 2011 at his home. His remains were cremated and private family services will be held.
Quenten and his wife also owned a home in Edgecomb and had family in Lincoln County.
Mr. Smith was born Dec. 19, 1933 in Henry, Wyo. to the late Charles and Auleene Hiner Smith. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served 22 years. He served in both Korea and Vietnam. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked with the Electrical Union. Mr. Smith was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, and was a Mason.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence, Gerald, and Kenneth Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Smith of Cedar Hill, Tenn.; sons, Quenten Smith Jr. of Texas, Kevin Smith of Utah, and Curtis and Ken Smith, both of Arkansas; daughters, Kathy Quijas and Carrie McDowell, both of Texas; brother, Quinton E. Smith of Washington state; sisters, Kaye Banta of Washington state, and Ida Flowerdew of Idaho; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
