Ralph Anthony Berticelli, 60, of Newcastle, passed away on Nov. 18, 2018 in Rockport.
He was born in Hartford, Conn. on Sept. 11, 1958 to parents John and Joanna (Light) Berticelli.
Ralph grew up in Wiscasset and graduated from Wiscasset High School. He was a veteran and served in the Army Reserves. He was also active as a firefighter in both Maine and Pennsylvania and attended the Maine Fire Academy to become an instructor.
Ralph was a member of the American Legion, Morning Star Lodge #41 in Litchfield, and the Kora Shrine in Lewiston. He was also a member of the Maine State Firefighters, an amateur radio operator, a member of the Newcastle Fire Department, and Lincoln County Ambulance. Ralph was also active in the Damariscotta/Newcastle Lions Club.
Ralph operated his locksmithing business, Salt Bay Locksmiths, for 20 years before retiring in 2004 to Pennsylvania.
Ralph survived by sisters, Gina Dent of Spring Hill, Fla., and Marcella Berticelli of Charleston, Mass.; daughter, Kimberly McClelland and husband Fred; two grandchildren; and aunt, Anita and husband Harry Green of Wiscasset.
A burial service will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, June 21 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lewiston.
