Ralph C. Jackson, 94, of Waldoboro, died Jan. 29 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport. He was born April 21, 1920 in Waldoboro to Willie and Lulu (Bowman) Jackson. He grew up in Waldoboro and graduated from Waldoboro High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He married Frances (Light) Jackson in 1940.
He worked at the Medomak Canning Factory and Paragon Button Factory in Waldoboro. He lastly worked at Bath Iron Works for 33 years. He was an active member of the Orff’s Corner Community Church in Waldoboro. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and dancing all over the state with his wife.
He was predeceased by his wife, Frances, who died in 2010.
He is survived by a son, Larry C. Jackson and wife Susan of Waldoboro; daughter, Cleo L. Carter and husband Lanny of Friendship; grandchildren, Sarah E. Leeman of Bath, Matthew Jackson of South Portland, and Alysa Jackson of Hagerstown, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in the Orff’s Corner Cemetery, Rt. 32, in Waldoboro in the spring.
