Raymond N. “Frenchy” Belanger, 85, of Whitefield, passed away quietly on Aug. 9.
He was born on Oct. 4, 1925, in Quebec, Canada, the son of the late Ludger and Roseanna (Lemieux) Belanger.
Besides his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Edna; son, Ludger; and three brothers.
He is survived by his children, Sondra Tingwald and husband Kurt of Florida, Roseanna Belanger of Whitefield, Pauline LaBelle-Weeks of Whitefield, John Belanger and his fiancée Pam of Washington, Linda Bell and husband William of Minot, Paul Belanger and wife Peggy of Washington and Mark Belanger and wife Betty of Washington; 20 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, and six sisters in Canada; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service 11 a.m., Sat., Aug. 27 at Sand Hill Cemetery in Somerville with Pastor Janice Hisler officiating. Following the service, a gathering of family and friends will take place at the home of Pauline LaBelle-Weeks, 179 Mills Rd., Whitefield.
