Rebecca Louise Stoddard, 66, of Boothbay, died unexpectedly May 12 at her home. She was born Feb. 1, 1944 in Boothbay Harbor, a daughter of Leslie and Pearl Pitcher Barter. She grew up in Boothbay and graduated from Boothbay Harbor High School.
She was a homemaker. She also worked as a chambermaid at the Tugboat Inn and also worked at several other motels in the area. She loved plants, animals and kids. She loved raising her children and the neighborhood kids as well. Rebecca and her companion Ted Thomas loved going to her “happy place” Foxwoods.
She was predeceased by a son, Fabian B. Stoddard who died in 2003.
She is survived by daughter, Caprice Holmes of Boothbay; sons, Dusty Stoddard of Boothbay, Leslie Morton of Boothbay and Richard Leeman of Boothbay Harbor; her better half, Ted Thomas of Boothbay; sisters, Mary Peaslee of Boothbay and Virginia Chubbuck of Edgecomb; and several grandchildren.
Memorial service 11 a.m., Wed., May 19.
